These videos answer the most common questions we get about the Brod and Taylor knife sharpeners.
Please note: these videos apply to both the original sharpeners and the new VG2 sharpeners — they both use the same tungsten-carbide sharpening technology. The VG2 sharpeners simply have a wider range, create sharper edges on even the hardest knives, and last up to 2x longer.

My daughter bought this for me after seeing it in a store in Jacksonville, Oregon. I love it easy to use and sharpens the knives beautifully. I was wondering if sharpening scissors would be ok? Thank you for a great product.
Analisa – Thank you for the comments; they’re great to hear! The sharpener does an excellent job on knives, but it isn’t designed for scissors, and we wouldn’t recommend using it for that purpose.
Is the sharpener dishwasher safe
Patrick – No, we do not recommend putting our knife sharpeners in the dishwasher.
How to use this to sharpen a santoku knife?
